Every knob has its own brushless motor. Load a preset and the knobs move to meet it. Nothing in the sensing path touches anything else, so nothing wears out.
Precision-ground stainless steel shaft
Ground from solid stainless steel and carried in a die-cast alloy body. No bend, no flex, no wobble, nothing to work loose.
Three-phase direct drive
Neodymium magnets, and no gears between the motor and your fingers. Torque passes through a magnetic field rather than through contact, so nothing rubs and the knob moves the instant the sound does.
Contactless optical encoder
No disc, no wiper, nothing touching. 15-bit resolution, finer than any mechanical encoder, and nothing in the sensing path that can wear out.
